Who owns what

Genshin Impact is developed by miHoYo and published outside mainland China by COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. under the HoYoverse brand. The game's name and logo, its characters and their names, its artwork, element symbols, in-game icons and every related mark are trademarks and/or copyrighted material of COGNOSPHERE and its affiliates (together, "HoYoverse").

An unofficial fan site

GenGuru is a fan project made by players, for players. It is unofficial and non-commercial. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by HoYoverse, COGNOSPHERE or miHoYo, and nothing here should be read as suggesting otherwise. We do not sell anything, run ads or charge for access.

For official news, support and account help, go to HoYoverse directly. We cannot help with game accounts, purchases or bans.

How we use game imagery

HoYoverse states that it does not prohibit non-commercial personal use of Genshin Impact material, as long as the COGNOSPHERE copyright notice is shown. It also makes clear that this is not a licence or approval, and that it keeps all of its rights, including the right to ask for material to be removed. Their rules are set out in the Genshin Impact Legal FAQ published on HoYoLAB. We follow those rules as follows:

• We use in-game icons (element symbols, character avatars, and weapon and artifact icons) and one background image to label and decorate our own guide content. We do not run a gallery of game art.
• Each image is a copy stored on this site, shown at a modest size and compressed and resized for the web, and otherwise left unaltered.
• We only show characters and material that have been officially released. We never publish leaks or unreleased content.
• The copyright notice appears in the footer of every page and on this page.
• We make no money from the images or from the site.

If HoYoverse updates its fan content rules, we will update how we use its material to match.
