Overview

Vesna is an Anemo sword fighter built around Snezhnaya's Stellar Swirl reaction. While she is in the party, Cryo Swirl becomes Stellar Swirl, and its base damage grows with her ATK. Her Elemental Skill puts her in Armed for Action mode, where her attacks turn into Anemo damage, call down a wind pinion and refill Sword Essence. She spends that Essence on Windborne Sword, which levels up with each use and summons Spirit Blades that count as Stellar Swirl damage once a party member has triggered the reaction.

Build her for ATK first, then crits, with enough Energy Recharge to have her burst ready each rotation. Her teammates should keep Cryo on enemies from off the field so every swing she makes has something to swirl.

Artifact sets

  1. Scarlet Proof 4-piece

    Made for her. It gives ATK, then CRIT Rate and more Stellar Swirl damage after she triggers the reaction, which she does constantly.

  2. Scarlet Proof + Gladiator's Finale 2-piece each

    Two ATK bonuses. Use it while your Scarlet Proof pieces are still weak, then move to the full four-piece once you have good rolls.

  3. Gladiator's Finale + A Day Carved From Rising Winds 2-piece each

    The same ATK totals from other sets. A simple stopgap if you have spare pieces from these two.

Teams

  • Stellar Swirl core

    Odette and the Cryo Traveler keep Cryo on enemies from off the field for Vesna to swirl. Vodyanitsa heals, lowers enemy Cryo RES and turns Stellar Swirl into Wandering Vortex, which cuts Anemo RES.

  • Faruzan Stellar Swirl

    Use the Cryo Traveler. Faruzan replaces the healer with extra Anemo damage support, and as an Anemo teammate she also counts toward Vesna's ATK passive. You will need to dodge more, since nobody heals.

  • Budget Stellar Swirl

    Easy to build. The Cryo Traveler's Frostpierce Star and Charlotte's skill marks supply Cryo from off the field, Charlotte heals with her burst, and Sucrose groups enemies. Damage is lower, but every piece is free or 4-star.

Tips

  • Stellar Swirl only happens when there is Cryo to swirl. Set up your off-field Cryo units, such as Odette or the Cryo Traveler, before you press her skill.
  • Windborne Sword gets stronger each time you use it inside one Armed for Action window, so spend all your Sword Essence before the mode ends. Leaving it clears what is left.
  • Her Spirit Blades hit harder for each Disciplinary Action stack, but the stacks vanish if she leaves the field. Stay on her for the whole combo.
  • Cryo and Anemo teammates raise her ATK, while other elements raise her Elemental Mastery instead. Lean towards Cryo partners when you can.

Talents

Normal Attack Vila Blade Dance
Normal Attack Performs up to 6 consecutive strikes. Charged Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to trample opponents in front of her. Plunging Attack Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along her path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Elemental Skill The Art of Victory
Calls forth Spirit Blades passed down through generations of the Vila to deal AoE Anemo DMG, then switches to the **Armed for Action** mode and gains 2 stacks of **Sword Essence**. Armed for Action DMG dealt by Vesna with her Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks become Anemo DMG that cannot be overridden by another elemental infusion instead. She will also summon a wind pinion that attacks the opponent at the same time, dealing additional Anemo DMG. Each time the wind pinion is summoned, Vesna will regenerate a certain amount of Sword Essence. Vesna can consume Sword Essence to unleash the special Elemental Skill **Windborne Sword**, which deals to the opponent Anemo DMG. Each use of the special Elemental Skill Windborne Sword in the same instance of Armed for Action will increase the level of Windborne Sword, beginning from Lv. 1 to Lv. 3 max, for more Anemo DMG. Using Windborne Sword at Lv. 2 and Lv. 3 will also summon **Spirit Blades** which deal Anemo DMG. Vesna will exit the mode when its duration ends or when she has used Windborne Sword at the highest level 3 times. Exiting will clear all remaining Sword Essence she has accrued. Additionally, when in this mode, Vesna's resistance to interruption is increased. Radiance: Stellar Swirl: DMG dealt with the Spirit Blades becomes Anemo DMG that is also considered Stellar Swirl reaction DMG.
Elemental Burst For the Tsaritsa!
Summons multiple **Spirit Blades**, dealing AoE Anemo DMG. Also gains a stack of **Sword Essence**.
Passive talent Rite of Spring's Procession
After Vesna uses the special Elemental Skill **Windborne Sword** or the Elemental Burst **For the Tsaritsa!**, she also gains 1 stack of Disciplinary Action which lasts 20s. Max 6 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others'. When she has Disciplinary Action stacks active, the **Spirit Blades** summoned by Vesna will deal DMG equal to (100% + 10% × Disciplinary Action stack count) of the original DMG instead. All active stacks of Disciplinary Action are cleared when Vesna uses the Elemental Skill The Art of Victory or when she leaves the field.
Passive talent Truth Prevails
Radiance: Stellar Swirl: Vesna will gain the corresponding effect based on the Elemental Type of her party members: · For every Cryo or Anemo character in her current party, Vesna's ATK increases by 6%; and · For every character of all other Elemental Types in her current party, Vesna's Elemental Mastery increases by 25 instead.
Passive talent Stellar Jubilee: Splendid Prelude
When party members trigger Cryo Swirl, it will be changed to a Stellar Swirl reaction, and party members' Base DMG for the Stellar Swirl will be increased based on Vesna's ATK. Every 100 ATK she has increases the Base Stellar Swirl DMG by 0.7%. The maximum DMG increase that can be gained this way is 14%. After a party member triggers a Stellar Swirl reaction nearby, Vesna enters the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state for 8s.
Passive talent The Grand Circuit
Holding on Sprint or Jump when Vesna is not in combat will cause her to enter the Coursing state. Coursing Continuously consumes Stamina to hover in mid-air. Sprinting or tapping Jump to go higher expends additional Stamina. Including the hold on Jump that triggers Coursing, Vesna can go higher up to 3 times in each instance of the Coursing state. Additionally, in Snezhnaya (excluding Nod-Krai), when Vesna is switched onto the field while the currently active party member is in mid-air and not in combat, she will immediately enter the Coursing state and regenerate 50 Stamina. This effect can trigger once every 10s, and does not take effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss.

C1 Winter's Farewell Feast
When in the **Armed for Action** mode, Vesna can unleash **Windborne Sword** at the highest level 4 times instead of 3. Also, each time she enters the Armed for Action mode, she will not consume **Sword Essence** the first time she uses Windborne Sword at the highest level. Additionally, Vesna deals 20% increased Stellar Swirl reaction DMG when in the Armed for Action mode.
C2 Kolo of Spring's Arrival
The Ascension Talent **Rite of Spring's Procession** is enhanced: Vesna gains the maximum number of Disciplinary Action stacks when she enters **Armed for Action** mode. Vesna's ATK is increased by 40% when she has maximum Disciplinary Action stacks. You must unlock the Ascension Talent "Rite of Spring's Procession" to gain access to the above effects.
C3 Winter's Last Offering
Increases the Level of the Elemental Skill **The Art of Victory** by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4 Glory to Our Forebears
The Ascension Talent **Truth Prevails** is enhanced: Its ATK and Elemental Mastery bonuses increase to 3 times their original values.
C5 The Nobleborn's Charge
Increases the Level of the Elemental Burst **For the Tsaritsa!** by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6 Unwavering Ardor
Tapping on Normal Attack or Elemental Skill in the 5s after Vesna uses **Windborne Sword** at its highest level will unleash the secret Vila ability Windborne Sword: Transpose, dealing Anemo DMG at 150% of Vesna's ATK as well as summoning **Spirit Blades** which deal an additional instance of Anemo DMG at 200% of Vesna's ATK. If Vesna is in the **Armed for Action** mode, she will also summon a wind pinion to perform Coordinated Attacks against opponents. Additionally, Vesna's Stellar Swirl reaction DMG dealt is **elevated** by 20%.
