Overview
- Bloom team enabler
- Off-field Hydro support
Nilou is made for one kind of team: every member Hydro or Dendro, with at least one of each. In that team, finishing the third dance step of her Elemental Skill gives the whole party Golden Chalice's Bounty, which turns Bloom (and Lunar-Bloom) into Bountiful Cores. These cores burst almost at once and cover a larger area, so they hit enemies quickly and rarely sit around to hurt your own party. Her second passive makes the cores hit harder for every 1,000 Max HP she has above 30,000.
That is why she is built almost entirely for HP. Her own Hydro hits also scale with Max HP, but the real reason to raise her HP is the Bountiful Core bonus. Outside a pure Hydro and Dendro team her passive switches off, so she is rarely used anywhere else.
Weapons
Best first. Every sword on this list links to its page.
-
Key of Khaj-Nisut ★★★★★
Her signature sword. A huge HP stat, and once its stacks build it gives the whole party Elemental Mastery based on her HP, which raises everyone's Bloom damage.
-
Primordial Jade Cutter ★★★★★
Gives HP and CRIT Rate. The HP is what matters for her passive.
-
A 4-star with an HP main stat, which is exactly what her passive wants.
-
Iron Sting ★★★★
Craftable at the Blacksmith. Its Elemental Mastery helps when Nilou herself triggers Bloom, though it adds no HP.
-
Sapwood Blade ★★★★
Craftable at the Blacksmith. Gives Energy Recharge, and the leaf it drops gives Elemental Mastery to whoever picks it up.
Artifact sets
-
Tenacity of the Millelith 4-piece
HP from the two-piece, and the four-piece raises party ATK when her skill hits. The usual first choice.
-
Tenacity of the Millelith + Vourukasha's Glow 2-piece each
Two HP two-pieces. Just as good for her passive and easier to fill with good substats.

Teams
-
Nilou Bloom
Nahida applies Dendro from off the field and keeps Bloom going. Furina adds Hydro and a party damage buff, and Baizhu heals and adds more Dendro.
-
Double Dendro Bloom
Kirara shields and Yaoyao heals, so the team is forgiving to play. Both add Dendro to keep Bloom going.
-
Budget Bloom
All 4-stars that meet her Hydro and Dendro rule. Collei and Kirara add Dendro and Barbara keeps everyone healed.
-
Lunar-Bloom with Nefer
Every member is Hydro or Dendro, so her passive still works. Lauma and Columbina turn Bloom into Lunar-Bloom, Nefer spends the Verdant Dew it builds on her Charged Attacks, and from C2 that Lunar-Bloom damage also lowers enemy Dendro RES.
Tips
- Check the team before you start. A single character of another element switches her main passive off.
- Pressing the skill again for Whirling Steps ends the dance with a Tranquility Aura that follows your active character and keeps enemies Wet, which helps Bloom happen more often.
- Put Elemental Mastery on the teammates who trigger most of the Bloom, not on Nilou. She wants HP everywhere.
