Xingqiu brings Hydro to a team without needing field time. His Elemental Burst makes the active character's Normal Attacks fire sword rain that deals Hydro damage, so whoever is on the field keeps applying Hydro without any extra effort. Both his Skill and Burst create Rain Swords that reduce damage taken, improve interruption resistance and heal a little when they break.

Gear him like a damage dealer who also needs Energy: ATK, Hydro DMG Bonus and crits, with enough Energy Recharge that his Burst is ready every rotation. He shines next to fast-hitting Pyro or Electro characters who attack often.

    A classic budget team. Xingqiu's Hydro and Xiangling's Pyro Vaporize off each other, Bennett buffs and heals, and Sucrose groups enemies.

Tips

  • Use his Burst before his Skill. The Rain Swords stay at maximum while the Burst lasts, and with his fourth constellation the Skill also hits harder during the Burst.
  • Sword rain only triggers from the active character's Normal Attacks, so pair him with characters who attack often and quickly.
  • His Burst costs a lot of Energy, so make sure it is ready each rotation before trading Energy Recharge for more damage.
  • The Rain Swords reduce damage taken and heal a little when they break, which can make up for a missing healer in some teams.

Normal Attack Guhua Style
Normal Attack Performs up to 5 rapid strikes. Charged Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes. Plunging Attack Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Elemental Skill Guhua Sword: Fatal Rainscreen
Xingqiu performs twin strikes with his sword, dealing Hydro DMG. At the same time, this ability creates the maximum number of Rain Swords, which will orbit your active character. The Rain Swords have the following properties: ·When a character takes DMG, the Rain Sword will shatter, reducing the amount of DMG taken. ·Increases the character's resistance to interruption. 20% of Xingqiu's Hydro DMG Bonus will be converted to additional DMG Reduction for the Rain Swords. The maximum amount of additional DMG Reduction that can be gained this way is 24%. The initial maximum number of Rain Swords is 3. Using this ability applies the Wet status onto the character.

Initiate Rainbow Bladework and fight using an illusory sword rain, while creating the maximum number of Rain Swords. Rainbow Bladework ·Your active character's Normal Attacks will trigger consecutive sword rain attacks, dealing Hydro DMG. ·Rain Swords will remain at the maximum number throughout the ability's duration.

When a Rain Sword is shattered or when its duration expires, it regenerates the current character's HP based on 6% of Xingqiu's Max HP.
