Overview
- Cryo support
- Shielder
- Pyro and Hydro RES shred
Citlali is a support who rarely needs field time. Her Elemental Skill puts up an Opal Shield and summons Itzpapa, who follows your active character and keeps hitting enemies with Cryo through its Frostfall Storm as long as she has enough Nightsoul points. Whenever the party triggers Frozen or Melt while Itzpapa is out, the affected enemies lose Pyro and Hydro RES, so she makes Pyro and Hydro damage dealers hit harder rather than Cryo ones. Her Elemental Burst is a large Cryo hit that also refills her Nightsoul points to keep Itzpapa going.
Almost everything she does scales with Elemental Mastery, including the shield and the extra damage from her ascension talent. Give her Elemental Mastery on every piece where you can, and add Energy Recharge until her burst is ready each rotation. In most teams she wears the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City set to share an Elemental DMG Bonus with the party.
Weapons
Best first. Every catalyst on this list links to its page.
-
Starcaller's Watch ★★★★★
Her signature catalyst. It adds a large amount of Elemental Mastery and, after she makes a shield, raises the damage of your active character. Both parts fit her role exactly.
-
A Thousand Floating Dreams ★★★★★
A strong 5-star choice for its Elemental Mastery main stat, and it also gives the rest of the party a little Elemental Mastery.
-
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers ★★★
A cheap 3-star that gives a short ATK buff to the character you swap to after her. Since she casts and leaves, the buff lands on your damage dealer. Refine it fully if you can.
-
Favonius Codex ★★★★
Helps her and the team with Energy, which matters if her burst is often not ready. Its Energy Recharge also lets you put Elemental Mastery on the sands.
-
A 4-star with a large Elemental Mastery main stat. The passive is a bonus, but the stat is the real reason to use it.
Artifact sets
-
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City 4-piece
The standard set. She triggers reactions constantly while in Nightsoul's Blessing, so the full party bonus to Cryo and the reacting element stays up for her team.
-
Instructor 4-piece
A low-cost option that gives the whole party Elemental Mastery when she triggers a reaction. Good while you farm Cinder City pieces.

Teams
-
Mavuika Melt
Citlali supplies steady Cryo for Mavuika to Melt, and her RES shred lowers enemy Pyro RES. Xilonen and Bennett add more buffs and healing.
-
Skirk Freeze
Citlali and Furina keep enemies Frozen, which triggers Citlali's Hydro RES shred and helps Furina's off-field damage. Skirk does the main damage.
Tips
- Her RES shred only lowers Pyro and Hydro RES. It does nothing for a Cryo damage dealer by itself, so pair her with Pyro or Hydro damage.
- Cast her Elemental Skill first in your rotation. Itzpapa follows whoever is on the field, so you can swap away right after.
- The Opal Shield scales with Elemental Mastery. If the shield breaks too easily, Elemental Mastery is the fix, not HP or DEF.
- If her burst is not ready when her turn comes back, add Energy Recharge before chasing more Elemental Mastery.
